Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant will provide specialist functional analysis, configuration, and business process advisory services to support the successful delivery of Alspec’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 modernisation program. The role focuses on translating business needs and process documentation, into high-quality functional technical solutions across the ERP. Key responsibilities: Functional Analysis & Technical Translation leadership. - Engage with Process Business Analysts to provide end-to-end enterprise functional analysis services, including requirements definition, usability and technical analysis, validation, and traceability.
- Capture and document business requirements using user stories, personas, process maps, wireframes, and screen mock-ups where required, and translate technical design and implementation steps for delivery team.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional designs aligned with Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform best practices and capabilities.
- Document, configure and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 application solutions, including configuration of forms, process flows, and business rules, within D365 and Power Apps for technical implementation teams.
- Support functional design decisions to ensure optimal use of out-of-the-box functionality and ensure all customisation is external to the core ERP, via HTML, PowerApp, or similar API-connected interface.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define, implement and support integrations and enhancements.
Stakeholder Engagement - Plan and facilitate workshops, showcases, and design sessions, including sessions with senior stakeholders.
- Present functional designs, prototypes, and solution options in a clear, engaging manner, and collaborate with business leads, capturing and translating business requirements into technical architecture roadmaps.
About You... Experience: - 5+ years delivering Dynamics 365 functional analysis and consulting, in real production environments.
- Certification in two or more Microsoft Dynamics 365 credentials.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerApp solutions with hands-on experience in Forms, Business Process Flows, and Business Rules integration within apps & UI.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
